Crown Molding Installation Services

Crown molding is one of the simplest ways to add height and character to a room. It creates a finished look where the ceiling meets the walls, and it works in almost any space. Whether you are installing new molding, painting existing trim, or repairing molding that has seen better days, our team brings the careful, detailed work these projects call for.

Molding comes in a wide range of sizes and styles, from baseboards and chair rails to door and window casings and picture frame molding. The style of your home helps determine which profile fits best, and we provide a design consultation so it is easy to choose the right option without the guesswork.

The Crown Molding Process

Your home is your sanctuary, and we treat it that way from the first measurement to the final coat. The process generally moves through these steps.

  • Measure the area. Installation requires exact measurements of the room perimeter and special cuts for the corners. If baseboards or wainscoting are part of the project, we measure their vertical height too.
  • Select the material. Molding is typically wood, fiberboard, or a synthetic like PVC. Wood looks the best and costs the most, and the material you choose drives much of the final price.
  • Prepare for installation. Floors and furnishings are covered to protect against debris, any old molding is removed, and wall studs are located for a secure fit. The molding is cut and prepared off site.
  • Install. The pieces are attached with nails and caulking, then wood filler is applied where nails go in. That filler is sanded smooth before finishing.
  • Paint or stain. A primer goes on first so the finish adheres properly, followed by paint or stain. A color consultation helps ensure a pleasing contrast between the molding and your walls.

More Than Crown Molding

The same craftsmanship applies across the trim in your home. We paint fireplace mantels, baseboards, door casings, ceilings, and wainscoting, and we can match molding to an accent wall. Wainscoting in particular adds charm to dining rooms, hallways, and bedrooms while protecting the lower wall from scuffs and everyday wear. Reach out for an estimate if you would like it installed.

Repairs and What to Know

Old molding can warp, crack, or separate over time, and South Florida humidity does not help. We restore it rather than replace it wherever possible, filling cracks, swapping out damaged sections, re-caulking where it has pulled away from the ceiling, and closing up separated seams. Crown molding has stayed in style for decades and still shows up in new construction, and while it is mainly a decorative touch rather than a major boost to resale value, it is an attractive feature that helps win over buyers. We are happy to walk through options and pricing during a free in-home estimate.
