Cabinet Painting & Refinishing Services

If your kitchen feels dated or you are simply tired of the same cabinet color, you do not have to commit to a full renovation. A professional cabinet refinishing project refreshes the entire space at a fraction of the cost of new cabinetry, and it is one of the quickest ways to make a South Miami kitchen feel brighter and more modern.

Cabinets are among the most touched surfaces in any home. In South Florida humidity, finishes wear faster, and grease and moisture take their toll on the doors you open every day. A fresh, durable finish protects the wood and brings the whole room back to life.

What Cabinet Refinishing Involves

Cabinet work takes patience, careful prep, and an eye for detail. Once you reach out, we visit your home to look over the kitchen, understand your goals, and walk you through the options before giving you a clear, straightforward estimate. Every project is a little different, so the steps vary with the type of cabinets you have and the scope of the work. Here is the general process.

  • Doors and hardware removed. We carefully take off all doors and hardware. This is a good moment to update knobs and hinges to match the new look.
  • Surfaces sanded and prepped. Surfaces are sanded, some by hand and some with power equipment, so paint or stain has a clean surface to bond to.
  • Finish applied to the doors. Painted finishes usually include a primer step to keep the result durable. Stained finishes bring out the natural grain of the wood.
  • Finish applied to mounted cabinets. The cabinet boxes are coated while still on the wall, usually with hand rollers or brushes for a smooth, even look.
  • Cabinets reassembled. After the finish has had time to dry and cure, doors and hardware go back on for a clean, brand new result.

Paint or Stain, and Which Sheen

You can have cabinets stained to bring out the grain of the wood, or painted to open up far more color choices. White, gray, and deep green tones all read modern and hold up well in a kitchen. Sheen matters too. Matte hides surface imperfections but is harder to keep clean, satin offers an easy to wipe middle ground, and semi-gloss and gloss stand up best to moisture and daily use while showing off a crisp finish. We talk through the trade-offs with you during the estimate.

Why Refinish Instead of Replace

Refinishing can give you a completely new look or a sharper version of the original, and it costs far less than buying new cabinetry. It also protects what you already have. When a finish starts to chip, the coating breaks down and the wood underneath becomes vulnerable to rot and warping, which the South Florida climate only speeds up. Refinishing stops that decay before it starts.

A color consultation comes with your estimate, so we can help you weigh color contrasts and pick a finish that complements the rest of the room. Our goal is simple: handle the hard parts so you can enjoy the transformation.
